The following  are required for a TYOGA YPC application.

Instructions for Admission

1. Apply for admission to TYOGA YPC by down loading our pdf application, fill it, scan the form and mail it to ‘apply@tyoga.org’. 

2. Kindly pay Rs.2500/- as application fee by paying into our designated account, details of account will be mailed to you on receiving your application. On receiving your payment, you admission will be taken up.

3. After submitting your application, an application number will be allotted  and emailed to you. These will be necessary to complete the application and to receive email communication about your application status.

4. Upon successful submission, a confirmation email will be sent to your email account. This notification confirms the receipt of your application only and does not reflect program eligibility or acceptance into the programme. Print and save a copy of your application and confirmation number for your record.

5.If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours after submitting your application and making payment, it is your responsibility to inquire about the status of your application by emailing us. Inquiries after the application deadline cannot be considered and will need to reapply in a future application cycle.

 
Who can Come?

​Physically fit to handle eight and more hours a day of practice, teachings and classes. Spiritually focused. To be above petty judgments of people and society.  Ready to think beyond. Having no chronic illness, recent surgeries, or under any psychological disorders.

 

Eligibility

Minimum Qualifying 12th standard school examination in any field. Reading, writing, and understanding of English is important.

 

Requirements

Must be Medically Fit. Not on any kind of Drug. No smoking or use of Alcohol. Mentally stable. Spiritually inclined, Polite at all times, Courteous at all times. Well-mannered, Respectful to others, No bad language or cursing. Be a positive human being.

 

Social Requirement

This is a monastic environment. All Rules and Regulations must be followed as it is the discipline of the practice and Teachings. Social distancing is a must for diving deeper into the practice. Silent times must be followed.

Admission to the TYOGA YPC Study & Practice Programme at TYOGA Kurukulam is selective and competitive. You must have completed your school 12th standard pass or failed examination to be eligible to apply. In evaluating prospective TYOGA YPC students, the Board of Admission looks for evidence of intellectual ability and initiative to meet the challenges of TYOGA coursework and yogic lifestyle training. Your previous academic performance at the school level is the most important criterion in evaluating your candidacy. Work and volunteer activities you have participated in are also considered in your application to study and practice at TYOGA Kurukulam.

  • 56% of US yoga practitioners are beginners. Japan has had a 413% yoga growth rate in just five years. Around 30% of the Dutch prefer meditational yoga. 59% of yoga practitioners in the US believe that yoga helps improve their sleep. The number of Americans doing yoga grew by 50% between 2016 and 2019. In 2018, there were 36.7 million people in the US who participated in some form of yoga. 89% of people yogis in the US practice yoga an average of 1-5 hours per day. The word “yoga” is one of the 15 most popular words in the UK.

  • More than 43% of yoga practitioners are between 30 and 49 years old. There’s 150% increase in the number of men practicing yoga between 2016 and 2019. In 2016, 28% of yoga practitioners in the US are men. There are 14 million people over the age of 50 who practice yoga. 20% of yoga practitioners in the US are more likely to have a positive self-image after regularly practicing yoga. 71% of Americans who regularly attend yoga classes have at least one college degree.   • The yoga industry is worth more than $84 billion worldwide. From $10 billion, the yoga industry spending went up to $16 billion in four years across the globe. In 2019, Americans have spent more than $16 billion on yoga classes. People spend an average of $62,640 in their lifetime on yoga. In the US, close to 40% of yoga studio owners report serving between 100 to 500 students per week. Over 1 billion posts on Instagram use a yoga related hashtag.  Lululemon one of the biggest yoga clothing brands saw sales of US$929 million in 2019.

  • The paparazzi reports feature various models and entertainment personalities who also actively practice yoga as a lifestyle, which pushes the yoga craze to greater heights worldwide. The accessibility of this wellness practice is a contributing factor to its popularity. There is practically a yoga school in every city today. A majority of those who go to yoga classes aim for health improvement. Concerned about their mental and emotional wellness, the promise of stress relief is a powerful motivation for doing yoga.

  • Yoga is the first and most successful product of globalisation. 44% of the teachers earn US$6,500 per month grossing about US$75,000 each year. Yoga practitioners are 40.6% aged 18 to 34 and 41% are 35 to 54 years of age. 78% are college educated. 98% of people who practice yoga expect to improve their health. 78% seek Spiritual activity. Yoga practitioners have 55% less chance of malignant tumours. 87% less chance of heart disease. 30% less chance of infectious disease. 50% less chance in out-patient doctor visit.
